Your course lessons can consist of only written content, videos or both. Though not required, especially if your lessons are well written, adding videos to your lessons can make your online courses more attractive to prospective students. That's because people prefer watching videos to learn, so we recommend adding videos if you can. Once you have a course script, you can turn them into a visual presentation to add to your course in one of three ways: 1. As A Slide Show or Screen Recording You could copy these points into a slideshow using PowerPoint, Google Slides, Apple Keynote or other similar slide show presentation apps and edit the slides to your liking and then narrate them. Or you could record your screen while you narrate the the points or script. Here is a video on how to do either using PowerPoint. The slideshow or screen recording process is similar with the other slide show presentation apps:https://youtu.be/hisnhKK94nI?si=arU8jYnYmrNJzZwF 2. As a Talking Head Video Or film someone narrating these points or script on a video.Basically you can set this up by placing your laptop's webcam, smartphone in portrait mode or even an external webcam at slightly above your eye level. You then input the course points or script into a teleprompter app so that you can read off the script or points as you look into the webcam as if you are talking to someone. Here's a how to blog post (opens in a new window) on how to set up and carry out this option. 3. As an Explainer Video Another option is to use a video creation program to do explainer videos. These types of videos contain visuals, background music, and AI voice narrating your points with subtitles. Here's an example video on cell metabolism and its significance in relation to chronic diseases that we created using such a program:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sidQA2sEkBQIf you like this type of video for your course, you can buy the video creation app that we use to create such videos by clicking on the button below.
